Here are some DCEU a stories that developed over the weekend. Matthew Vaughn talks about the type of Superman movie he’d make, Joe Manganiello tweets a little something, and some Green Lantern rumors to wrap things up.
First up, we got Matthew Vaughn not only confirming that he’s in talks to direct the sequel to Man of Steel, but then discussing the type of film he’d want to make.
He spoke with Collider about making a feel-good Superman movie:
“Weirdly if I did do Superman—and I made the mistake of telling someone yesterday I have spoken about it and then wallop (laughs)—I think my main take would be, it’s really boring but make a Superman film. I just don’t feel a proper Superman—I think Donner did it to perfection for that time. Just doing the modern—I wanna do a modern version of the Donner [version]. Go back to the source material… For me Superman is color, feel-good, heroic. He’s a beacon of light in darkness. And that’s what I think Superman should be.”
You can watch the video over at Collider.
Next up, we have some recent news coming from Joe Manganiello. Fans don’t know what the hell is going on with Deathstroke anymore, and neither did Joe as recently as July. But information about Ben Affleck’s original script for The Batman was posted on Heroic Hollywood, and Joe retweeted it along with a two sword emoji.
Could be confirmation of the story, a tease that he’s still involved, both, or neither. If they don’t wind up using Deathstroke in The Batman, I’m sure fans would love to see him in the upcoming Nightwing movie. Hint, hint *nudges Chris McKay*

Speaking of Heroic Hollywood, a site I will contributing to soon, their EIC and The Wrap reporter Umberto Gonzalez dropped a few rumors on a recent Periscope stream.
The first is that there will be two after credit scenes for the upcoming Justice League movie. He said he knows one of them but doesn’t want to spoil it. The second rumor is that two Green Lanterns will show in the film, if WB decides to keep them in.
Both seem plausible, and the Lanterns were even name dropped in the Justice League trailer so they’re already on everyone’s radar. Can’t wait to see for myself this November.
