Two DCEU Films Added To 2020

After consulting you guys through a poll on social media, we will be posting Batfamily film news on the website, with periodic DCEU updates sprinkled in. Almost half of the poll wanted to just stick to Batman related stuff, but the majority wanted their Wonder Woman, Superman, and Aquaman news too. Expect a big “What We Know So Far,” type article after next weeks San Diego Comic Con.

As for today, Warner Brothers has announced two new DC Comic film dates. Considering that the last slate they previously released had a movie set for July, so it’s fair to say that they are probably starting fresh. There are a ton of DCEU films that are reportedly in development, so it’s difficult to even even guess what will be slotted in the two new dates.

When you actually list whats been confirmed since the last schedule, there just isn’t a lot there:

2017

November 17 – Justice League

2018

December 21 – Aquaman

2020

February 14 – Untitled DC Film

June 5 – Untitled DC Film

2018 and 2019 will no doubt be fleshed out by next week, which makes predicting whats to come even more difficult. The Flash, Shazam, Cyborg, and Green Lantern Corps are all left up in the air for the time being. Some people don’t think the Cyborg movie will even be made, it was originally set for early 2020. Back in January Deadline reported that Shazam will be split in two movies, with a Black Adam movie being scheduled.

Today, The Wrap reporter Umberto Gonzalez tweeted out that Shazam will begin production in February of 2018. His scoops are more right than people give him credit for, and the timing might make sense.

Along with those movies we have the detective noir Batman film that Matt Reeves wants to make. Other Batfamily films that are expected to be added are: Nightwing, Batgirl, Gotham City Sirens, and the Suicide Squad sequel. Then you have Justice League Dark and sequels to: Wonder Woman, Man of Steel, and Justice League. JLD will eventually get off the ground right?

Included with the DC film date announcement were two WB Event films, one of which is animated.
