The always reliable Variety reporter Justin Kroll, took to Twitter to express his doubts that production to “The Batman” will begin anytime in 2017. This is due to the fact that director Matt Reeves will reportedly be working on his upcoming movie “War for the Planet of the Apes” until June. Kroll doesn’t think this will give Matt Reeves enough time to start production on the highly anticipated Batman solo film, so 2018 is probably the earliest.
Hearing Matt Reeves contracted to work on APES till at least end of June, so production on BATMAN likely not starting till 2018

As much as Batman fans are dying to see the movie, I think they are more than happy to wait and give them time to get the movie right.
In other news, Ben Affleck took to Facebook to announce the completion of his rehab for alcohol addiction:
“I have completed treatment for alcohol addiction; something I’ve dealt with in the past and will continue to confront. I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be. I want my kids to know there is no shame in getting help when you need it, and to be a source of strength for anyone out there who needs help but is afraid to take the first step. I’m lucky to have the love of my family and friends, including my co-parent, Jen, who has supported me and cared for our kids as I’ve done the work I set out to do. This was the first of many steps being taken towards a positive recovery.”
It’s good to hear that Ben Affleck is getting himself right, I’m sure I can speak for everyone and say we are all rooting for him.
