Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Turbine have given a worldwide launch to the free to play, Arkham Asylum prequel game Batman: Arkham Underworld. Previously, the game had only been available to Canada, the Netherlands, Philippines, Guatemala, Norway, and Australia.
The strategy based game allows you to play as Batman’s greatest foes and take on The Dark Knight. A perfect concept for a game with the feature film Suicide Squad, set to premiere soon. The featured villains are: Harley Quinn, The Riddler, Killer Croc, Scarecrow, and Mr. Freeze. No Joker apparently. Turbine was tapped to bring this game to life. They are best known for their Lord of the Rings Online games, and for the Infinite Crisis game.
The voice actors from the Arkham games have returned for Batman: Arkham Underworld, including Kevin Conroy. The app is now available on the iOS app store and will have in-app purchases like many other free to play games.
An android version is being worked on but currently there is no release date.
