January’s Community DLC for Arkham Knight detailed

The Batman: Arkham Knight community challenge pack is coming in January 2016 and will be available free to all players. As we mentioned last month, Rocksteady gave fans of the Arkham series a chance to vote for their favourite locations from Arkham Asylum and Arkham City and promised that we’d be getting gix challenge maps based on those locations.

Not only have Rocksteady totally listened to fans (three/four out of my six picks have been realised), but they’re throwing in an extra challenge map that includes a never before seen endless predator survival mode. We’ve seen the concept in the combat challenge maps, for example the Iceberg Lounge or Totally Insane, but I’m intrigued about how the Predator map will play out as a potentially endless situation.

Below are details of the seven maps that we’ll be getting and the first screen of the Wayne Manor Main Hall map for Arkham Knight.

•Wayne Manor Main Hall (Batman: Arkham City)
•Batcave (Batman: Arkham City)
•Sanatorium, Medical Facility (Batman: Arkham Asylum) – Silent Knight map from Arkham Asylum?

•Iceberg Lounge (Batman: Arkham City)
•Crime Alley (Batman: Arkham Knight) – Arkham Asylum DLC? I’m going to ask Rocksteady for clarification about this one – stay tuned. *Confirmed as the ‘Arkham Knight’ location.
•Monarch Theatre (Batman: Arkham City) – not previously a Challenge Map

But wait, that’s not all! We’re adding in a seventh AR challenge to the Community Challenge Pack: Endless Knight. We’ve been listening to you guys and one of the most interesting ideas the community has had is for an endless survival predator map. We made a prototype and ended up really liking it, so we’re bringing it to you in January.

The Community Challenge Pack is coming to Batman: Arkham Knight in January 2016. PC owners will be able to access the pack a little earlier than everyone else. We can’t wait for you to play it. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
